This product is more than what I expected. I have a small pool and there is nothing else in the world like this to clean up with. I can clean my entire pool with it, the batteries feel like they last forever, the box says it will run on 3 hours on a set of batteries. I do not have to try to use any hoses that came with the pool and all the difficulty of trying to set them up. I use the Aqua Broom on my small above ground pool and my neighbor has an Aqua Broom he uses on his Intex pool. We both love the item and highly recommend it.

I LOVE this vacuum! It does such a great job keeping my pool clean. I have one of those easy set 13 ft x 39 in pools for the kids and they end up tracking in all kinds of dirt, etc. Originally we bought a vacuum that attaches to the hose from Walmart and it worked, but it was a total pain to use. This vacuum gets all the dirt, dead bugs, and grass off the floor of the pool on the first pass and just glides right along. I had read some reviews that it is hard to turn on, but I haven't had any problems with that. Definitely worth the price!

The one thing that you'll want to be mindful of is that it doesn't pick up sand very well - and instead of ordering the fine-grade filter on the manufacturer's site for $18 + outrageous shipping...just attach a skimmer sock on the outside of the filter bag but inside the broom...it works great for the super tiny stuff...and it's a lot cheaper!
Cleaned up 2 handfuls of dirt!July 5, 2010 Jennifer Hagen I bought this item to try to clean up the 2 handfuls of dirt that my daughter had thrown into our Intex 12 ft. pool. I have the vaccuum that hooks to the hose, but the particles were too fine and were flowing throw the cloth bag (and seriously, does that really classify as a vaccuum??). This vaccuum came with 2 polyester bags to put inside the filter to allow the fine particles of dirt to stay in the vaccuum and not get blown around the pool. I LOVE it and I give it 5 stars! It is easy to turn on and off, easy to remove the filter cloth and rinse, and easy to reach into the middle of the pool. It is a breeze to clean the pool now. This was well worth the money!
Aqua Broom Is Great!July 7, 2010 Sandra Busque I have a 20 x 40 pool, and it seems that every night bugs and pine needles find there way to the bottom of the pool. It was a pain to dig out the hoses and equipment for daily clean ups. I found Aqua Broom on line and bought one immediately. It's great! While it is small, and I would never dream of doing my whole pool with it, it allows me to spend maybe 10 minutes a day picking up debris that have fallen into the pool over a 24 hour period. Nothing to hook up, just a twist of the switch and it's off and running.
If I had a smaller pool or Spa I could see only using the main vacuum for the beginning of year clean up. This broom picks up everything I need it to and battery life using Duracell's has been amazing. I've had the broom for 3 1/2 years and still am running the original batteries. All I do is take them out for the winter at the end of September, and pop them back in April.
While the switch can be hard to turn, I haven't found it as bad as some of the other reviews make it out to be. There is an o-ring that forms a water tight seal to the battery compartment, and that is what causes the friction of the on/off switch. This is a great product at a fair price. The one reviewer that claims to have bought a Water Tech Aqua Broom for $15.99 must be mistaken this product for a inferior brand, I have never seen the Aqua Broom listed for under $45.00
